Appointments mean nothing
The problem with this is that appointments mean nothing. You set an appointment, but 100 other people did at the time as well. 3 hour waits are normal. Defeats the point of “scheduling an appointment”. ^^^^^ And they seemingly randomly don’t allow you to schedule appointments. I know there’s not many people there in the morning, but they block you out from that so fast. But yet you can still schedule at 7:30 when tons of people are there and coming in. So it’s next to impossible for me to donate twice a week when I can only schedule an appointment one at a time, and on that short notice I can’t get a spot in the morning. ^^^^^ And I’m confused why it even blocks you out of scheduling at that time when less people are there than at other times that you can schedule. ^^^^^ It’s just a tremendously packed place at this location, would love to be able to come in and get it done but this confusing method of “scheduling appointments” that assumes you have all the free time in the world is very oddly done. I definitely recommend getting a better system
Less glitchy, but doesn’t save login info!
I was actually happy to see an update to the old glitchy app due to all the issues I’d had with it (crashing, couldn’t add to calendar, slow, wouldn’t load card balance, etc.). Overall the app works much more smoothly and consistently with one big flaw: it doesn’t save your login info! You now have to type in your entire email address and password (I know, first world problems) which is frustrating if I’m going back and forth between the BioLife app and say, my calendar.
I had hoped this most recent update fixed this but it didn’t, and it seems I’m not the only one. Please bring back this one redeeming feature of the old app!
Not worth all the time
Aside from the app being difficult to navigate, the organization itself is highly unorganized. For being so desperate for people to donate, you would think they would make enrolling a much smoother process. Not to mention they seem to have difficulty staffing facilities. My husband and I spent half a day for our initial appointments only to find that neither of us qualified until AFTER finally seeing the nurse for the physical. He didn’t because he had stents and I didn’t because I have OSA. They said they would need my provider to fill out a form and then fax it back to them. Meanwhile my phone is being blown up with texts and multiple emails asking me to donate yet I can’t even get past the screening process. Literally the only way to bypass all the red tape is to lie ,which ,based on the people that were there donating, was obvious. I would love to help by donating but not for a company that seems to disregard how much of your time they consume for little reimbursement.

Personally, I have not struggled with the app. There have been glitches on occasion, but when isn’t there glitches with anything electronic or web based?
Since day 1 (over 2.5 years ago) I have always been able to make my appts, cancel or reschedule my appts, see my balance on my card, see my history for purchases and donation appts.
Any complaints I have are about the process or promotions. I will file those on their website where the actual people who work for Biolife will see them…not the APP developers.
