crusher anc won’t connect for years
I’ve had these headphones for years and they work perfectly and sound great. I can’t recommend them enough for occasional use and listening to music.. But this app on the other hand i do not recommend at all. It has never worked for me even though I’ve had the headphones that should connect. I’ve tried every remedy online that people have suggested aaaand nothing has worked. I also should not have to try every remedy in order just to get them to connect to the APP but here i am. Hope it all works for everyone else but from the looks of it.. I’m not the only one.
Update: after complaining.. I finally get it to work but the only real thing you can do with the app is have the manual with you and adjust your volume and that’s about it. Everything is still just on the headphones with the physical buttons.. Which is nice but it would be nice to have all the settings you have to adjust physically ALSO adjustable on your phone.
Works Better than Indicated
With the new Sesh ANC, I have not had the vast majority of problems described by other users in their reviews of this app paired with other headphones. Given the complex nature of the earphone two button press-and-hold command sequence, it’s a good idea to have the EQ selection offloaded to a visual interface; changing the noise cancellation mode is easier this way as well, although having the ability to adjust ANC with the physical earphone buttons remains useful on a daily basis. It would be an improvement if the headphones themselves would remember the ANC setting rather than having to choose every time they are removed from the case and it’s my hope that this can be included in a firmware update. The only major problem that I’ve had with this app is that if it is not force-closed from the iOS background app selection, the right earphone will cut out frequently; this issue will persist through re-syncing and resetting the earphones according to the manual’s instructions. I was almost ready to return these new earphones to the store before realizing that there is no connectivity issue with audio played from the iPhone to the earphones when the Skullcandy app is not running and not connected to the Sesh ANC. The app can be used to change settings, but must be force-closed when finished or the aforementioned connection issue will occur repeatedly throughout my regular use.
Would be better if it had a purpose other than taking up space.
Works okay with Indy ANC, mostly pointless though. I’ve written to Skullcandy suggesting that the headphone controls should be user configureable through the app, got a boiler plate non-response describing the “features” that are provided by the software. Would it really be that difficult to let us select which functions we want? Not asking to add new controls, just to toggle existing stuff off and on. I’d like to turn off everything but pause and volume, no track controls are needed for my use and for the love of Pete NO siri or voice control! It tries to open Siri even though “she’s” intentionally disabled on my phone and then proceeds to audibly notify me that voice control/dialing or siri is disabled- Yeah, ’cause I turned it off but thanks, goofy robot voice. We should also have a switch to shut the voice prompts off. Apple needs to address the siri/vc issue as well, all headphones attempt to open that talking abomination. 250 megabyte program to deliver 3 preset EQ profiles, ANC/pass-though switch and firmware checks that’ll probably never see an update is the best you can do with this? Bloated nonsense. I don’t get it.
MOD Earbuds
I love my MOD ear buds. They Lin to my tile app and aver device I have they will even in to my laptop and my phone at the same time. They have great sound I have even dropped the in small amounts f water on the floor and they still wrk ad sound great. I want to test them in the poo while swimming laps, but I like them to much to take a chance of ruining them in the poo water. I listen to mine all day non stop, the battery last for days and more than just a few days on one charge and one are usually a the way up. The rounding awareness is a great feature for when I’m working around others but still want to jam out. The only thing that could make these better is to know if I can swim in them since their water and sweat resistant.
So this is not really about the app but, it is about the wireless headphones
So I use my sisters headphones because I lost mine in at the movies and they bad sometimes like they fall out and at first I thought they were falling out because I had not had them in the right way so I moved them and they still felt like they were going to fall out and sometimes I have the volume all the way up and it is really quiet and one little problem with the case when I close it id hella loud and I can’t be having that when my sister is on the bed under my and and at night she well wake up to me moving and the loud case is not helping that, but over all most of the time the headphones are really good (sorry that it is so long)
just a few connectivity issues but it’s a good pair of earbuds
The earbuds are pretty nice and comfortable. I like to listen to my music with these, but sometimes it’s difficult because the earbuds have huge connection issues. They will turn off the second i turn them on, despite me charging them overnight. I’ve had to forget the device multiple times and pair it again, just so i could use them for a short amount of time due to their short battery life. I’ve never had this problem with any other pair of earbuds. In anyway, this means the app won’t work good either. So no music for me most of the time now.
Anyways, I hope this review didn’t come off as rude, these are some nice earbuds. hopefully the connection problems can be fixed soon.
