Disappointed
I’ve had the security cameras for over a year now and one no longer works. The cameras don’t catch everything they should. Had police chase someone through my yard, right past the cameras and it didn’t catch any of it. Doorbell camera stopped working and was on the phone with their service people to get it up and working. Was on my cellphone so long it died and the doorbell camera still not working. Sadly I’m stuck with them for another 3.5 years. I wouldn’t recommend them. App is no better, needs updating/ fixes.
Edit-
Okay after having the app a while, there are a few things I realllllly hope you add/change soon. I want more options for notifications within the app itself and for each camera. For instance, I don’t want a notification every 30 minutes at night when a moth flies by my driveway camera. But I don’t want to have to turn off the notifications all together within my phone’s settings. And I would love a separate notification with sound all together when someone rings the doorbell. Like, I want my phone to chime when that happens. With its own individual sound. Also, in the “activity log”, when I set an alarm or turn it off, it simply says “user logged in”. I’d love for it to be a little more descriptive by saying “set alarm away” or “disabled arm stay” for more information to refer to. Seems like it’s people on here complaining about the company itself – which isn’t where that kind of review belongs to start with – and a lot of reviews seem to be total rubbish in general. The app is decent. There’s definitely some bugs and such that could be improved but overall, it’s simple to use and gives me what I need. It does support Face ID. Allows me to view all cameras together on a single app (although sometimes it seems to have a hard time connecting to the equipment). I can take video, screenshots and talk via the cameras. Hopefully there will be more updates in the near future to address some of the small issues.
Bad reviews aren’t indicative of this company’s service
I recently got a really great and affordable package from Alder. The sales rep (Shelby) was incredibly professional. Very low pressure sales, just gave me basic information and how it compared to other security companies. The tech showed up within 15 minutes of signing up and installed everything right away. He (Aleck) was incredibly professional as well. The tech even came back to fix an issue I had a couple of days later (issue was on my end, not theirs.) Even today when I had issues figuring out how to navigate the app, customer service was on point and made sure that my issues were resolved ASAP. I’m in Arkansas, and I would highly recommend this company. I feel a lot safer, and sleep a lot better at night. Kudos to the Central Arkansas team!!
Push notifications
I just got the system and I am disappointed that the push notifications don’t work. I am not aware if anyone pops up at my door or my back camera. I hit allow notifications and I am not receiving any notifications. What else do I need to do or can this be fixed? Thank you. Well I just called technical support and she was very helpful and I got the issue resolved. Can you please add that when the notifications pop up that when yoy hit the notification that it automatically give you the “right now” video in real time so that time have not elapse between the notifications and you actually seeing the video.
